Dear Palomares Families,

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year!  I am excited to start this school year and look forward to all the wonderful learning and memories that will occur for our school community. This message is longer than what we usually send - so please take the time to read through the entire message.

Welcoming Inclusive and Equitable Space for All 
The staff and I are committed to ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, equitable and safe place for all students and families. As we begin this new school year, I want to remind our families that CVUSD updated our Nondiscrimination/Harassment/Anti-Racism board policy and administrative regulation last year and continue to pledge as part of our ongoing efforts to eliminate hate speech and racial slurs in our schools.

Our school is deeply committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and respectful community for all students. To help us achieve this, we will continue to use our Anti-Hate Speech Compact on the first day of school. This district-wide compact is an agreement that all students, staff, and families will use language that is respectful and will stand against any form of hate, discriminatory, or harassing language.

Before students sign the agreement, teachers will review the compact, discuss its purpose, and answer any questions. This will ensure that everyone understands the importance of this commitment and how we can all contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful school environment.

Walk Through Registration
Reminder that our walk through registration is next Wednesday, July 30th from 8 am - 3 pm. If you are unable to be here, please email our secretary, Mrs. Collard at jcollard@cv.k12.ca.us to schedule an appointment. 
If your child has health needs that require an Authorization to Administer Medication or Seizure or Allergy Action Plan, please bring a completed copy with you to walk through registration.

Hello and Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year,

Listed below are details about the data confirmation and registration process which is required for every family to complete for each student prior to the school year starting. 

Registration or Data Confirmation occurs in the Aeries system and you can login to your Parent Portal to complete this process. During this process, you will receive a Registration Checklist for the respective school(s) of your student(s) in order for you to participate in the school’s walkthrough Registration event. 

Step 1:  Data Confirmation

This will be completed in Aeries through your Parent Portal Accounts https://castrovalleyusd.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx?page=default.aspx

Step 2:  Print Registration Checklist and Plan to Attend

During data confirmation, one of the documents you will be required to read and print is the Registration Checklist for your student(s). This document includes instructions and additional requirements for that school.

Step 3:  Attend Walkthrough Registration

As you work your way through the registration process, please take the time needed to review our school handbook and to review our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports as well as our Progressive Discipline Matrix. As a school, we want to support each of our learners and ensure a positive school environment for everyone.  

Supply Lists
Grade level donation supply lists will be updated soon on our school website and a hard copy will be available during our walk through registration.

Office Hours
Our office is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 4 pm. 

The staff and I are looking foward to welcoming our returning Hawks back to the nest and our newest "eyas" (young hawks) to Palomares. It is going to be a wonderful year of learning, growing and celebrating together.
